12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

The “special love” quotation from the book of the prophet Isaiah indicates the messianic due time, the time when the Christ came into the world indicates and opens all the ways. His ways are not our ways, they are right. But our ways are not right, not because the road is curved, but because we are "carried", and the feeble feet cannot retain us. Here is, the Holy Scriptures call us to concentrate our attention on the straightness of the way, to go and by constant training strengthen the weak muscles, so that the habit of right-walking may originate. All of this is of course a metaphor, where the way is life, and feet, knees, muscles are above all our will.
