NOTES for Num 34:1-29
By settling the tribes of Israel throughout the land of Canaan and defining its borders, God creates what is, as it were, one large family of brothers and sisters (compare Ps 132/133: How good and pleasant...). This family, called to live according to God's will revealed through Moses, is destined many centuries later to become the family of the One who will reveal God to them as His Father.
