NOTES for Hab 3:1-19
The book of the prophet Habakkuk ends with his prayer. Having received answers to his questions and understood that God does not leave events to take their own course, that He has His own design and His own ways of carrying it out, Habakkuk glorifies God, His majesty, His omnipotence, His wisdom, and His faithfulness to the covenant with Israel. Are we able to see God’s hand in what is happening in our world? Are we ready to accept what He does and how He does it? Can we, like Habakkuk, exclaim: “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation”?
