4 For thus says the LORD,“To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, 5To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will giveathem an everlasting name which will not be cut off. |

10 His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, dDreamers lying down, who love to slumber; 11 12 “Come,” they say, “letgus get wine, and let us drink heavily of strong drink; And tomorrow will be like today, only more so.” |
1 2 He enters into peace; They rest in theirabeds, Each one who walked in his upright way. 3 “But come here, you sons of a sorceress, Offspring of an adulterer andba prostitute. 4 5 6 8 9 “You have journeyed to the king with oil And increased your perfumes; You have sent your envoys a great distance And made them go down tokSheol. |
11 “Of whom were you worried and fearful When you lied, and did not remember Me nNor give Me a thought? Was I not silent even for a long time So you do not fear Me? |
14 15 For thus says the high and exalted One Whoolives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite. 16 17 18 19 Creating theppraise of the lips. Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,” Says the LORD, “and I will heal him.” 20 |
1 2 3 ‘Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do notanotice?’ Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And drive hard all your workers. 4 5 “Is it a fast like this which I choose, a day for a man to humble himself? Is it for bowingbone’s head like a reed And for spreading out sackcloth and ashes as a bed? Will you call this a fast, even an acceptable day to the LORD? 6 7 “Is it not to divide your breadcwith the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 9 “Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, Thedpointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, 10 11 12 “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of theistreets in which to dwell. |

1 2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden Hisaface from you so that He does not hear. 3 4 No one sues righteously and no one pleadsbhonestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity. 5 6 Their webs will not become clothing, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works are works of iniquity, And an act of violence is in theirchands. 7 8 They do not know the way of peace, And there is no justice in their tracks; They have made their paths crooked, Whoever treads ondthem does not know peace. |
9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Yes, truth is lacking; And he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey. Now the LORD saw, And it wasgdispleasing in His sight that there was no justice. 16 17 18 19 So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like akrushing stream Which the wind of the LORD drives. |

4 “Lift up your eyes round about and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will beacarried in the arms. 5 “Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart willbthrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you. 6 7 8 “Who are these who fly like a cloud And like the doves to theirelattices? 9 “Surely the coastlands will wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, For the name of the LORD your God, And for the Holy One of Israel because He hasfglorified you. |
10 11 12 13 |
15 16 17 18 19 “No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, And your God for yourgglory. 20 21 “Then all your people will be righteous; They will possess the land forever, The branch ofhMy planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified. 22 “The smallest one will become aiclan, And the least one a mighty nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” |
1 2 3 To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be calleddoaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. |
4 5 Strangers will stand and pasture your flocks, Andeforeigners will be your farmers and your vinedressers. 6 But you will be called the priests of the LORD; You will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, And in theirfriches you will boast. 7 8 For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robberygin the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them. |
10 11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, So the LordhGOD will cause righteousness and praise To spring up before all the nations. |
1 2 3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royaladiadem in the hand of your God. 4 5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So your sons will marry you; And as thefbridegroom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you. |
6 8 The LORD has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm, “I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies; Nor willgforeigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.” |
10 Go through, go through the gates, Clear the wayhfor the people; Build up, build up the highway, Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples. 11 |
1 3 5 6 “I trod down the peoples in My anger And made them drunk in My wrath, And Iepoured out their lifeblood on the earth.” |
7 8 9 In all their afflictionfHe was afflicted, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old. 10 11 12 14 As the cattle which go down into the valley, The Spirit of the LORD gaveithem rest. So You led Your people, To make for Yourself a glorious name. |
15 16 17 18 |
1 aOh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, That the mountains might quake at Your presence— 2 bAs fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil— To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence! 3 4 5 6 7 There is no one who calls on Your name, Who arouses himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And havecdelivered us into the power of our iniquities. |
8 9 11 |
1 2 “I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in the way which is not good, afollowing their own thoughts, 3 4 5 “Who say, ‘Keep to yourself, do not come near me, For I am holier than you!’ These are smoke in Mybnostrils, A fire that burns all the day. 6 7 Bothctheir own iniquities and the iniquities of their fathers together,” says the LORD. “Because they have burned incense on the mountains And scorned Me on the hills, Therefore I will measure their former work into their bosom.” |
8 Thus says the LORD,“As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for there isdbenefit in it,’ So I will act on behalf of My servants In order not to destroyeall of them. 9“I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, And an heir of My mountains from Judah; Even My chosen ones shall inherit it, And My servants will dwell there. 10“Sharon will be a pasture land for flocks, And the valley of Achor a resting place for herds, For My people who seek Me. |
13 Therefore, thus says the LordhGOD,“Behold, My servants will eat, but you will be hungry. Behold, My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Behold, My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame. 14“Behold, My servants will shout joyfully with a glad heart, But you will cry out with aiheavy heart, And you will wail with a broken spirit. |
17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come tonmind. 18 19 20 22 “They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as therlifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands. 23 “They will not labor in vain, Or bear children for calamity; For they are thesoffspring of those blessed by the LORD, And their descendants with them. |
24 It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the LORD. |
1 Thus says the LORD,“Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place thataI may rest? |
3 “But he who kills an ox is like one who slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb is like the one who breaks a dog’s neck; He who offers a grain offering is like one who offers swine’s blood; He whobburns incense is like the one who blesses an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations, 4 So I will choose theircpunishments And will bring on them what they dread. Because I called, but no one answered; I spoke, but they did not listen. And they did evil in My sight And chose that in which I did not delight.” 5 |
8 “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land bedborn in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. |
10 11 12 14 15 16 17 “Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the gardens, gFollowing one in the center, Who eat swine’s flesh, detestable things and mice, Will come to an end altogether,” declares the LORD. |
18 “For Ihknow their works and their thoughts;ithe time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. 19 I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish,jPut, Lud,kMeshech, Tubal andlJavan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations. 20 Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD. 21 I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites,” says the LORD. |
22 23 “And it shall be from new moon to new moon And from sabbath to sabbath, Allmmankind will come to bow down before Me,” says the LORD. |
