Philippians, Chapter 1,  verses 20-27

20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 s Or But if to live in the flesh, this will be fruitful labor for me, then IBut if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not knowt Lit what I shall choosewhich to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; 24 yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joyu Lit ofin the faith, 26 so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.
27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with onev Lit soulmind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Luke, Chapter 9,  verses 49-56

49 John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us.” 50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you isac Or on your sidefor you.”
51 When the days were approaching for Hisad Lit taking upascension, Heae Lit set His facewas determined to go to Jerusalem; 52 and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans toaf Or preparemake arrangements for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, becauseag Lit His face was proceeding towardHe was traveling toward Jerusalem. 54 When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them, [ah Early mss do not contain bracketed portionand said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; 56 for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they went on to another village.
