1 Timothy, Chapter 6,  verses 11-16

11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love,h Or steadfastnessperseverance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I charge you in the presence of God, whoi Or preserves alivegives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He willj Lit showbring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King ofk Lit those who reign as kingskings and Lord ofl Lit those who rule as lordslords, 16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

Matthew, Chapter 12,  verses 15-21

15 But Jesus,l Lit knowingaware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all, 16 and warned them not tom Lit make Him knowntell who He was. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
 18 “BEHOLD, MYn Lit ChildSERVANT WHOM Io Lit choseHAVE CHOSEN;
MY BELOVED IN WHOM MY SOULp Or took pleasureis WELL-PLEASED;
I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM,
AND HE SHALL PROCLAIMq Or judgmentJUSTICE TO THEr Or nationsGENTILES.
 19 “HE WILL NOT QUARREL, NOR CRY OUT;
NOR WILL ANYONE HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE STREETS.
 20 “A BATTERED REED HE WILL NOT BREAK OFF,
AND A SMOLDERING WICK HE WILL NOT PUT OUT,
UNTIL HEs Or puts forthLEADSt Or judgmentJUSTICE TO VICTORY.
 21 “AND IN HIS NAME THEu Or nationsGENTILES WILL HOPE.”
