Astounding characteristic of the Gospel in various languages: the use of verbs in perfect tense (in certain languages, it can be express in other verbal forms). But it is important that in most of the cases, the Lord speaks about already achieved facts: your faith has made you well (Mt 9:22); he who hears my voice – has passed out of death into life (Jn 5:24); " For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ" (Ga 3:27); we can add " the gates of Hades will not overpower it" (Mt 16:18) according to its meaning, although not grammatical, but going to the same series. The fact that all these things already took place is excellent and astounding. It is especially this that gives strength in our life in faith; this is especially Christians’ source of joy, moreover, a joy completely unconceivable to the atheistic world. Life would have been horrible and in its essence a hopeless activity if not this joy. But fortunately, salvation - cure, acquittal and resurrection proposed by Jesus Christ takes place, " Et salva facta est" as it is written in Mathieu 9:22 Latin version. There is a key moment, a turning-point in the world’s history and in the personal biography of every person that when all this is accomplished, it becomes a fact. This moment is the source of our life. Jesus says «it is finished! » - dying on the cross (Jn 19:30). And it is specifically as a fait accompli that the Church in all its life resort to salvation.
