In this short text we see the Old Testament Church. Having passed through the pains of a new birth, she is completely transformed, becoming the New Testament Church, standing before and bowing down before the Messiah.

The serpent stands against her, the dragon who became the cause of the fall, seducing and deceiving the human person. The dragon tries to deceive the Church from the first moment of her appearance, to destroy her and tear her down to the foundation; he sets persecutors against her, trying to wipe from the face of the earth every righteous person who stands in his way. And then, seeking salvation, believers withdraw into desert places, leaving the places from which they are driven in order to preserve a living community far from their persecutors.
