33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Jesus pronounces these words after Pharisees accused Him of casting out the devils by the power of Beelzebub-prince of the devils. That is, for them a nasty power serves as reason of good works. Jesus asserts by this short parable: it can’t be so! It is wickedness, improbity that speaks in Pharisees; they "meet" the reality by a beforehand preset conclusion. The appreciation of a fact is made well before the fact itself for them. Besides, they are ready to change the criterion of distinction between right and wrong / good and bad according to circumstances and interests.

Jesus Christ shows that by admitting such logic, Pharisees (and sometimes we) are under the power of the one called father of lie. The criteria of distinction between right and wrong / good and bad must be firm, because these criteria come from God, that is why they have to be enlarged equally upon «the tree " and the "fruit" . It is from evidences ("fruit") that it is necessary to estimate or evaluate any situation and not from the fact that “the tree” pleases us or not.
